EU, Croatia Wrap Up Accession Talks

(RTTNews) - Negotiations on Croatia's accession with the European Union, which started in 2005, was officially concluded on the last day of the Hungarian EU Presidency, paving the way for the Balkan country's possible entry into the European bloc in July 2013. Announcing this in Brussels during the 13th ministerial level EU-Croatia accession conference on Thursday, Hungary's Foreign Minister Jnos Martonyi stressed that June 30, 2011 was a day of historic significance, not only for Croatia, but also for the European Union.
